Supporting the health and wellbeing of our children and young people is vitally important to us and increasingly needed.

Through connecting with nature, not only is their wellbeing improved but our children and young people grow up to care about our planet and be custodians of our beautiful Borders countryside.

Our programmes for children are based in Forest School philosophy, allowing kids to learn from nature via free play - shaping their own outdoor adventures and learning experiences – while building respect for nature and for their peers.

Young people benefit from our person-centred approach, which fosters resilience, builds confidence and allows them to connect with each other and the natural world on their own terms. A researcher studied our Pilot wellbeing project in 2017 and here are the results of her study.

The impact that Nature Unlimited has had with our young people has been incredible. These pupils have been disengaged with school and this programme has increased motivation and engagement, so much so that some are wanting to continue with education this year. For the others it has promoted a positive end to school for them and a better transition to life and work.
