Natural Connections

‘Natural Connections’, outdoor wellbeing group for people aged 16+ who wish to improve their mental health and wellbeing and be part of a safe and supportive community.

‘Natural Connections’ started in Spring 2026, taking place every Thursday from 10am – 2pm at Drygrange Community Woodland, near Earlston. This programme runs in 12 week blocks. This programme is funded by the Scottish Government’s Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund.

‘Natural Connections’ is for you if you want to:

  •  meet new people

  • improve your wellbeing and mental health

  • feel more connected

  • learn new skills and have fun

  • be actively supporting your recovery

  • contribute to a thriving community

Each ‘Natural Connections’ session will include a wellbeing practice, e.g. mindful nature connection, breathing or meditation; community jobs, such as chopping firewood or cooking lunch; a creative activity, such as crafting or a green woodworking project; as well as plenty of time to chat and connect and, of course, a nourishing (free) lunch.

Our group leaders will provide wellbeing support through a mix of sharing their experiences of what has worked for them and their skills in mindfulness, breathwork and meditation.

The atmosphere will be relaxed and informal – a safe space to have time out, prioritise your wellbeing, make natural connections, thrive, and not just survive.

You must be at least 16 years of age to attend, and it is by self-referral.
