Women for Wellbeing

Welcome, welcome, welcome to our Women For Wellbeing Page

We are delighted that Nature Unlimited has been chosen, by the Scottish Government’s Community Mental Health & Wellbeing Fund, to run three free programmes which will give women in the Scottish Borders, skills, knowledge and tools to support their own wellbeing.

The next free course (the third of three courses) will be running from 12th March to 14th May 2024 (inclusive), with a free taster session taking place on Tuesday 5th March 2024 at Drygrange Community Woodland, near Earlston. We are also having a celebratory session on 21st May. See link at the bottom of this page to book onto the taster session.

All of us face mental health challenges from time to time and the facilitators of this course will be sharing their knowledge and experiences gained through a mix of training and practices that they have used to support their own mental health and wellbeing.

In each session we will introduce a new wellbeing practice and an activity designed to support relaxation and relieve stress. We’ll cook together on the campfire and enjoy being together, in a therapeutic woodland setting. The atmosphere will be very relaxed and informal – a safe space to connect with each other and nature and to give yourself time just for you.

 Refreshments and lunch are provided.

Before you commit to attending the free 10 week programme, you are invited to a free taster session taking place on Tuesday 5th March 2024 where we will explain more about the course and give you a flavour of what we’ll be doing.

On completion of the course, you will be invited to a celebratory session (Tuesday 21st May 2024) with an artist who works with natural materials, to create a memento of our time together.

If you can relate to any of the statements below, then this programme is for you:

  • you’re struggling to keep your head above water, emotionally

  • you’re feeling down, anxious or stressed

  • you’re feeling lonely or isolated

  • you think you need a weekly dose of positivity to boost your wellbeing

  • you feel the need to connect with a group of like-minded women

We are NOT providing therapy, as we are not qualified to do so.

If you would like to attend the taster session, then please click the button below.  Please do not sign up for the taster session unless you know you are available and wish to commit to the full 'Women for Wellbeing' programme, running from 12th March to 21st May 2024 inclusive (10 sessions plus a celebratory session).
